Christmas day is almost here which means many of us are scrambling to purchase last-minute gift, wrap that final present, and run into that one other store. In the midst of the Christmas craziness and frenzied finale, I have an idea for you. An idea to calm your heart and bring true peace back into your busy life.
Slow down and take some time — starting this weekend — to read the incredible story of our Savior’s birth.
Don’t get so caught up in the last minute rush that you forget to sit down, be still, and fill your heart with the true treasure of Christmas. And since we all need this, I thought it would be fun if we did it together!
Starting on Saturday, December 22nd, let’s read the same passages of Scripture together all the way through Tuesday, Christmas day! Are you in?
Just follow the plan below, using your own Bible each day.

Let’s celebrate the coming of our Savior together as we prepare our hearts for the advent of our One true King.
“For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”
—Isaiah 9:6-7
Comment below letting me know if you’re going to join me, and we can pray for one another as we countdown the final days until Christmas!
