Why Our Modern Culture of Self-Love Is More Harmful than Helpful

Why Our Modern Culture of Self-Love Is More Harmful than Helpful

The messages of self-love, follow your heart, and be true to yourself are permeating our culture today. But this formula of looking inward to find value within our own goodness isn’t working. Many of us are finding ourselves on a never-ending cycle of striving to be good enough but never measuring up. This is not what God intended for us. He never asks us to be enough or to love ourselves more. God sent Jesus to be enough for us. That’s what the Gospel is all about. That’s where true hope and lasting worth is found.

If you desire to find lasting worth and identity in something, Someone, more sustaining than yourself, this episode is for you.
