It’s time, ladies.
It’s time to become brave women for God. Women who stand firm on truth. Women who study God’s Word. Women who care about theology. Women who unapologetically embrace our identity as God’s daughters. Women who are unashamed of what the world may think of us. Women who understand that we are Christ’s ambassadors. Women who live in the reality that this is only our temporal home.
It’s time to become women who live for Someone more worthy than ourselves.
Instead of allowing life to happen to us, let’s be proactive. Let’s be intentional. Let’s fix our gaze on Christ and chase hard after our Savior.
Our generation is in desperate need of this kind of a woman.
A woman who wakes up every day and says, “I Chase Truth.”
I propose we start a movement! Will you join me?
There is absolutely nothing keeping you from being a woman who says, “I Chase God’s Truth for myself.” There is nothing keeping you from living all out for your Savior.
God has given us everything we need to live out our role as His daughters. Thanks to Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit within us, we can chase truth. We can follow Jesus. We can chase after sound doctrine.
Sadly though, way too many modern women are allowing life to happen to them.
I have been totally guilty of this myself. Instead of going towards something, we simply react to whatever life brings our way. We are the opposite of intentional. We are lazy in our faith and lazy in our relationship with God. Our actions truly show us that don’t care enough to make change. We don’t care enough to wake up and read our Bibles. We don’t care enough to pray. We don’t care enough to go to Bible study. We don’t care enough to find a Titus 2 mentor.
We just don’t care enough to be a godly woman of God.
I realize that this message isn’t the most “uplifting and inspiring.” It’s not a message that says, “love yourself, girl.” “You do you.” “Don’t let anyone come before you and your dreams.”
This post isn’t saying any of those things because there are already plenty of women shouting those messages from the rooftops.
I’m convinced that we, as modern Christian women, need a little more focus on God and a little less focus on self. We need a little more guidance from God’s Word (and the Holy Spirit) and a little less following of the heart.
God has called us to something incredible, ladies!
God has called us to be His daughters. He has called us into a new identity in Himself. He doesn’t need you to be super talented, incredibly beautiful (according to the world), smart, athletic, or anything else.
He simply wants your heart.
He wants you to look to Him and say:
“God, I desire to live authentically as your daughter. I want to live for your glory. I want to chase your Truth. I want to be a woman who builds my life on the solid foundation of Your Word. Help me, God. I know I can only be that kind of woman with your help! Create in me a pure heart and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Use me, God. I want to live for you! Help me in my weaknesses.”
This is an invitation to join the movement. The movement of women who are choosing to chase truth for themselves.
To equip you in that pursuit of truth, I want to invite you to join me for the upcoming Girl Defined Conference on August 2-3, 2019 in San Antonio, TX.
The theme of this year’s conference is, “Chasing Truth: Choosing to be a woman who Fearlessly Pursues God’s Word.”
This two-day conference will help you to live all in for Christ and truly make your one life count.
Early bird tickets are on sale for only $69 until June 1st. So better hurry! Grab your tickets here.
Now, I want to hear from you.
