Conference
Let’s Shine Bright Together
July 30 – 31 in San Antonio, TX
Following Jesus as a modern Christian girl can sometimes feel like an uphill climb. With so much pressure to conform to cultural norms and popular trends, it’s hard to live out your faith each day. How do you stand for truth when nobody else is standing with you? How do you swim against the current without losing heart and giving up?
That’s why you need to stay connected to the source of truth and power. By staying rooted in your relationship with Christ, you’ll have the daily strength you need to live boldly as a girl defined by God.
At Girl Defined ‘21 you will discover what it means to courageously live for Christ and how to have full confidence in your identity as His daughter.
We’ll be unpacking popular questions such as:
– Where does my identity come from?
– How do I live out my identity as a girl defined by God?
– Why does shining bright for Christ even matter?
– How do I live boldly when I’m being canceled and ridiculed?
– And much more…
We hope you’ll grab your sisters and friends and join us for this powerful 2-day conference as we learn how to embrace our true identity in Christ and shine bright for Him together. This event is geared toward girls and women ages 13-30. Moms are welcome to attend.
Speakers
Agenda
Session One
Battling to Live in the Light
Kristen Clark & Bethany Beal
Every day feels like a new battle. A battle to know God in a real and personal way. A battle to be in the Word. A battle to shine bright for Christ no matter the cost. It’s easy to let our guard down and allow the world to shape our views, beliefs, and values. It’s easy to go with the flow and live as if Jesus isn’t even a part of our lives. In order to shine bright for Jesus, we have to know Him personally and reflect Him in our lives. Matthew 5:14-16 says, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” This is our calling as daughters of God. This is what we’re battling for. This is what we’re working toward together. Let’s become a generation of girls who shine bright for Him!
Session Two
Your Truest Identity Doesn’t Come from Within
Kristen Clark & Bethany Beal
The word identity has become one of the biggest buzz words of our day. Our modern culture is passionate about spreading the message that our truest identity can be found within ourselves. We’re told that who we are has nothing to do with God, but everything to do with us. As we live in the midst of this popular narrative, we need to remind ourselves that our truest identity doesn’t come from within, but from within God’s design for us. If we want to experience true freedom and confidence in who we are, we must look to our Creator to define us. He is a good and loving Father and has a beautiful design for our femininity. At the end of the day, our greatest joy and purpose doesn’t come from within, but from knowing who we are in Christ, and then living faithfully in that identity for God’s
glory.
Session Three
Living for Christ in the Face of Cancel Culture
Kristen Clark & Bethany Beal
Standing for biblical truth has become one of the most challenging things to do today. According to culture, if you’re not on the “right side of history” on issues like identity and sexuality, you should expect to be shut down, bullied, and ultimately canceled. This is a difficult reality to face. In light of
this, how can we, as Christian girls, live unafraid, unashamed, and courageous lives in the face of cancel culture? How can we speak truth in a loving, kind and gracious way…without giving up or giving in? In this session, Kristen and Bethany share their own personal experiences with cancel culture and challenge you to live for the approval of God alone. They unpack Romans 1:16 and show
you how to point others to Christ no matter the cultural or political climate of the day.
Session Four
Becoming a Girl Who Really Knows the Word
Portia Collins
Most of us have more Bibles and biblical resources at our fingertips than we can count. But instead of studying God’s Word for ourselves, we trick ourselves into thinking that a few encouraging spiritual
posts on social media are enough to get us through life. As a result of this poor spiritual diet, we’ve become spiritually weak and vulnerable to believing anything that sounds positive and encouraging.
We’re unable to discern the difference between Biblical theology and false theology, so we believe lies without even realizing it. It’s time for us to get serious about God’s Word. It’s time for us to rise up, put the spiritual snacks away, and begin filling our lives with the real meat of God’s Word. Let’s
choose to become a generation of women who really know God’s Word and faithfully apply it to every area of our lives.

Becoming a Girl
Who’s Faith Radically Transforms the Way She Lives
Emma Wagner
Emma knows what it’s like to grow up in a great household, attend church, youth group, and all of the “christian” things. Although she grew up in a christian home, she didn’t have a true intimate relationship with Jesus or a solid understanding of the gospel. This negatively impacted Emma’s life as she graduated high school and entered the college scene. Emma shares openly and honestly about her struggles with sexual sin, anorexia and her journey in the bodybuilding world. All of this led to a breaking point in her life where she truly came to know the Lord in a way that radically transformed the way she lived.
