Overcoming the Comparison Trap

When I, Bethany, was 19 years old, I was given a reliable old car to drive. Immediately I started comparing myself and my car to other girls with newer cars.

Comparison left me feeling ungrateful and discontent.

Once I surrendered my need to measure up to others, I was able to enjoy the car that God had given to me.

In our modern day and age of technology, comparison is probably one of the biggest traps many of us find ourselves in.

We compare our clothes, cars, wealth, grades, family, friends, makeup, hair, skin, features, height, weight and on and on.

If we give into comparison, it will NEVER end.

Galatians 1:10 For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Don’t allow comparison steal your joy!
