Sitting in a room surrounded by 7,000 Christian women is an experience unlike any other. Bethany and I are at the True Woman 2016 Conference in Indianapolis right now! If you’re not familiar with this amazing women’s conference, I highly recommend checking it out. The theme for this year’s conference is on prayer and is called “Cry Out!”
Every other year, Revive Our Hearts Ministries puts on this huge women’s conference, which brings in Christian women from all over the world.
It’s amazing to see women from different countries, cultures, and languages gather together to seek the Lord and learn more about Him.
From the beginning of this year, Bethany and I were always planning to attend, but were over-the-top excited when Revive Our Hearts contacted us and asked if we would be interested in teaching a session with Mary Kassian.
Ummmm…YES!!
We’ve been huge fans of Mary Kassian and her “Girls Gone Wise” ministry for years, and were so honored to be asked to teach alongside her.
So, yesterday we had the amazing privilege of teaching a 3 hour workshop with Mary called, “True Womanhood for Newbies.” The sessions covered everything from a history of feminism, to how modern feminism is affecting our generation, to God’s design for the male and female, to the 3 Pillars of Biblical Womanhood (taken from Girl Defined).
All in all, the sessions were a huge success and we are so grateful to see God use His truth to impact the heart’s of young and older women.
Now…the reason I’m writing this post today isn’t to give you a play-by-play of my day here at the conference (although that could be fun!). I want to personally invite YOU to join us here, today.
If you want to experience what it’s like to worship God and pray with 7,000 Christian women – this is your chance!
Now, I know you won’t be able to jump on a plane and fly to Indianapolis, but I have a backup plan. The True Woman Conference is offering a free LIVE stream of all of their sessions, and we want you to join us. Not only will you hear amazing speakers and life changing sessions, you will have an opportunity to pray alongside 7,000+ women tonight.
You don’t have to look far to see that we live in a broken and hurting society.
The pain and devastation caused by sin is taking its toll on our land. In and of ourselves we are powerless to do anything about it. But thankfully, God is bigger! Through the power of prayer we can make a difference in our land.
Throughout history God has used the earnest prayers of women to accomplish great things for His kingdom purposes. For the first time ever, the True Woman Conference is hosting an international prayer event for women! Will you join us TONIGHT as we Cry Out to the Lord for our countries, families, siblings, and churches?
Tonight, from 7pm – 10pm (Eastern Time) 7,000 women will gather together to pray, along with 200,000 women tuning in (via live simulcast) from around the world.
Instead of just complaining about the brokenness in our culture, this is our chance to do something about it!
This is our opportunity to seek God together.
I hope you’ll join us today for the main conference sessions, and tonight for the Cry Out Event!
